The appeal above was included on this page when first put on the web site. Through an OTS member, Vance has been identified as the cousin of OTS Committee Member Charlie Stephens. Vance was a pupil at Redworth Secondary Modern School and subsequently a KEVICS pupil following the amalgamation of the Grammar School and Redworth. Vance left in 1968 to join Rolls Royce in Bristol.

Vance asked for the £1 postal order (see bottom right corner of the article) as his his prize, which he still possesses!
