Abobe Acrobat Reader
Abobe Acrobat Reader opens files which have been created in the pdf format. The names of such files always have the ".pdf" extension. When you click on a link to such a file your browser looks for the Acrobat Reader plugin. This will have been installed if you have previously installed any Adobe Acrobat products on your computer.
If you do not have the plugin, you can download Acrobat Reader and configure your browser to use it as a "helper" application. Now, when you click on a link to a pdf file, the browser will open Acrobat Reader. Depending on your browser, you may be able to specify whether you want to view the pdf document immediately in the helper window or download it to your hard drive and view it later.
Download Acrobat Reader.
